An easy start to Linux

I think that one of the least enjoyable parts of starting to use Linux is finding the applications you are used to using on Windows / Mac.

So, it is always nice when someone compiles a list (and there are quite a few of them) of useful Open Source apps for Linux.

The latest one I encountered is Top 100 Open-Source Linux Apps at ubuntuforums.org
